One of my favourite brands from DogFest this year - and a favourite brand anyway [some of my ambassadors swear by them!]. I have had a dicky bag for three months, and will be writing a review of ours shortly! I asked Mandy questions about Dicky Bag and the Products they have:

So Who and what is Dicky Bag?


I’m Mandy Davies, inventor of the Dicky bag which is a lightweight, odour proof, hands free portable poo bin.
I invented it in 2008 after spending too many walks swinging around a nasty, stinky, flimsy bag but also noticing so many discarded full bags. I started to ponder on how I could make my walk better and at the same time stop this increasing antisocial habit as static bins and fines weren’t doing the trick.





Which product is your favourite, and can you tell me more about it?


The dicky bag! It is a ground breaking, unique invention which aims to not only give each dog owner a much more pleasant walk but also change the attitudes and beliefs of dog owners concerning their responsibility and how to be the best dog owner they can be. I took this product from a simple idea to manufacture with a Patent and now sell across the world, completely funded by ourselves and without the help of any corporate investment. We partner and work with many great organisations like UK national parks, NFU, wildlife trust, canal and rivers trust, national trust, forestry England as well as many councils.

Most of our sales are online through our website dickybag.com or Amazon but we also have some wonderful small stockist around the country.
This summer you will find us at DogFest Blenheim, as well as, Paws in the Park Ardingly, and Dogstival in the new forest. We have 2 stands each year at crufts and also attend the motorhome caravan and camping show at the NEC twice a year.

We try to keep our followers updated on Facebook and Instagram but our customers (known affectionately as Dicky Disciples) are so much better at it than we are so we try to repost as much as we can, it also shows what real people think of our products. We do have a TikTok account but it’s in the early stage atm under GoGo.

Proudest Business Moment so far?

When you run your own business you have many proud moments as it becomes a child! I’m proud every time I see someone sporting a Dickybag but in terms of achievements it will be winning best new pet product at GLEE 2019 with our treat bag and appearing on BBC’s The Customers Always Right in 2020

Anything we need to keep our eye out for in the future?


As we can bespoke print our bags in small batches at our factory in Cornwall we are always collaborating with other businesses and groups.
We are currently perfecting the designs on a new double treat bag and compact walking bag
